BRANDING | E-BOOK DESIGN
Untangled is a podcast that explores the lives and stories of real people who are “doing life” in a different way. These are intimate and inspiring stories with people dedicated to untangling themselves from self-made and conventional societal constructs to live their version of Truth. Alana’s podcast interviews are unscripted, free-flowing and deep diving.
The Untangled branding is earthy, mysterious and soulful. It honours the ancient and powerful story-telling nature of women (and at times, men). The colour palette consists of muted tones inspired by earth and ocean.
The icon is a modernised, feminine adaptation of the Celtic knot. In traditional Celtic culture, stories were not written down, but kept alive through the spoken word. The quaternary, or four-cornered Celtic knot design has many meanings associated with the earth eg. the four seasons, four directions, four elements. The symbol also links to the name ‘Untangled’ and the concepts of connectedness and unravelling.
We then expanded this branding into Alana’s e-book series Ignite: Podcasting for Changemakers. These e-books are a guide to podcasting for heart-centred female entrepreneurs with a powerful message to share. Ignite combines soul and strategy in a way that other podcasting programs don’t. Each of the three guidebooks has its own jewel-toned colour, which complements the main branding palette.
